SKIDMORE, Mo. —

It has been 20 years since Jena saw the man she calls her best friend.

“Branson had the blondest hair and the prettiest blue eyes,” she said. Advertisement

Jena hasn’t looked into those eyes since she saw Branson Perry in spring of 2001. Perry was last seen at his home on April 11, 2001, and hasn’t been seen since.

“Branson doesn’t just leave and not come back. That’s just not him,” she said.

Over the past two decades, police and deputies have followed tips and would-be leads, but none have led them to Perry or the people responsible for his disappearance.

Jena, who doesn’t want her last name used, says Perry was a kind person who would do anything for anyone. She’s speaking out this anniversary week, in hopes to do something for him.

“The family and I think it needs to stay in the media to let everyone know we haven’t [given] up,” she said. “We are still looking for him and for answers.”
